Getting Started with Transaction Manager For Merchants

1. Overview

Charge Anywhere’s Transaction Manager (TM) is a secure, web-based portal designed for merchants to manage all aspects of their payment operations. It provides direct access to transaction history, virtual terminal processing, settlement reports, customer vaults, and recurring billing, all from one unified interface.

This guide introduces the key features available to merchant users and outlines the navigation and login experience tailored for their access level. Merchants do not have access to partner-only administrative controls such as merchant selection or portfolio management.

2. Key Capabilities for Merchants

As a merchant, you have complete control over your business’s payment operations through the Transaction Manager interface. You can perform the following tasks:

  • Search and view transaction history with advanced filters and export options.
  • Process payments manually using the Virtual Terminal for card-not-present transactions.
  • Create and manage Bill Pay invoices to send digital payment links to customers.
  • Store customer card data securely in the Customer Vault for future transactions.
  • Set up and monitor recurring billing using the Recurring Database or via Customer Vault entries.
  • View and edit your merchant profile, terminal details, and processor information through the View Merchant Info screen.
  • Generate summarized and detailed reports from the Totals and Transactions modules.
  • Customize Virtual Terminal settings, tax and discount prompts, and receipt formatting.
  • Configure fraud detection rules (such as daily transaction limits) and receive alerts.
  • Access your API credentials (MID, TID, Secret Key) for eCommerce or developer integrations.
  • Manage user access and permissions for staff accounts under User Management.
  • View settlement history and batch details, with options to close, unlock, or email settlement reports.
  • Track recurring payment activity via the Recurring Status Report under Tools.
  • Review event history through the Event Viewer, including device and transaction updates.
  • Receive card-on-file updates using Card Updates (if enabled by your processor) and much more!

These features ensure merchants can operate efficiently, maintain secure records, support recurring transactions, and provide flexible billing options for their customers.
