Overview
The Totals menu in Charge Anywhere’s Transaction Manager provides merchants with summarized financial data across multiple transactions, including short and detailed reporting capabilities. This section explains how to access, interpret, and export totals using the available options.
Accessing Totals
- Log in to Transaction Manager.
- From the top menu bar, click Totals.

3. The Totals page opens, where you can apply filters, download reports, or view totals on-screen.

Using Filters to View Specific Data
You can narrow down your totals by filling in any of the fields on the left:
| Field | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Payment Type | Choose how the customer paid: Credit Card, ACH, Gift Card, Cash, Debit Card, or Fleet Fuel. |
| Identification | Enter a device or terminal ID to view data from a specific terminal. |
| Date From / Date To | Select a time range for the report (e.g., today, this week, last month). |
| Recurring Filter | Use this if you want to view only recurring payment totals. |
| Clerk Number | View totals handled by a specific employee. |
| Invoice Number | Filter transactions by invoice number. |
| Customer Number | View transactions related to a specific customer. |
| Transaction Status | Choose: All, Settled, or Unsettled transactions. |

After setting your filters, click Search to view the results.

Exporting Totals Data
To export the summary as an Excel file, perform the following steps:
1. Click the Export button in the Totals screen.

2. The file will be downloaded to your device in .csv format.

3. This file includes:
- Card Type (e.g., Visa)
- Purchase Count and Amount
- Return Count and Amount
- Total Count and Amount
- Total Tax and Cash Discounts

Viewing the Short Report
1. On the Totals screen, click Short Report.

2. A summarized report view opens in a new window displaying short report details:
- Merchant Name
- Industry Type
- Processor
- Report Date
- Date Range
- Purchase Count and Amount
- Return Count and Amount
- Total Count and Amount
- Total Tax, Tips, and Cash Discount

3. Click the Export button on this screen to download the short report in Excel format.

4. Click the Print button on this screen to print the report.
Viewing the Detailed Report
1. Click the Detail Report button on the Totals screen.

2. A detailed report is displayed, including:
- Merchant Name
- Industry Type
- Processor
- Report Date
- Date Range
- Transaction-level details such as ID, Date/Time, Type, Invoice, and Approval Code.
- Device, Customer, and Clerk information
- Reference numbers for each transaction
- Purchase Count and Amount
- Return Count and Amount
- Total Count and Amount
- Total Tax, Tips, and Cash Discount

3. To export the detailed report, click the Export button to download it in Excel format.

4. To print the detailed report, click the Print button
Tips
- Use the Date Range to pull daily, weekly, or monthly totals.
- Use the Short Report for quick summaries.
- Use the Detail Report if you need to find a specific information including Device, Approval Code, Clerk Details.
- You can export both types of reports to Excel for recordkeeping.
